Calcium pantothenate is the stable calcium salt form of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) and is a key B vitamin supplement in animal feed. As A core component of coenzyme A in the body, it is widely involved in the metabolism and energy conversion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, and is crucial for maintaining the normal growth of animals, the health of skin and mucous membranes, and the function of the nervous system. In animal husbandry, calcium pantothenate can promote feed utilization, improve fur conditions (such as preventing rough and discoloration of pigs and minks), and support adrenal function to help animals cope with stress. Deficiency can lead to typical symptoms, such as slow growth, dermatitis and disheveled feathers in poultry, abnormal "goose step" walking in pigs, and decline in fur quality in fur animals. Since animals cannot synthesize it by themselves and the content of conventional feed raw materials is prone to loss during processing, it needs to be widely added to complete feed, especially for poultry, young animals and high-yield animals.
