




Choline Chloride (often classified as Vitamin B4) is a key member of the B-vitamin family. As an essential precursor for the synthesis of phospholipids, acetylcholine, and betaine, it performs critical physiological functions in animals, including promoting fat metabolism (preventing fatty liver syndrome), participating in methyl transfer (sparing methionine), maintaining nerve signal transmission, and building cell membrane structures. Feed-grade products are mainly divided into50% or 60% powder formulations adsorbed on plant carriersand70% or 75% liquid aqueous solutions(implementing the GB/T 10818 standard), among which the powder form is convenient for compound feed processing, while the liquid form is mostly used in premixes and liquid feed. A deficiency in poultry can lead to fatty liver, reduced egg production, and an increased rate of broken eggs, while in pigs it manifests as stunted growth, joint deformities, and lactation disorders in sows. Therefore, it is a high-volume basic additive in livestock and poultry feed. However, due to itsstrong hygroscopicity, it is usually added separately at the final stage of feed production to avoid potency loss from prolonged mixing with other vitamin premixes.
