In swine and poultry feed, the balanced valine-to-lysine ratio (Val:Lys) directly affects feed intake, daily weight gain, and sow lactation performance, making it a key limiting amino acid in low-protein diets designed to reduce soybean meal usage. Feed-grade products are mainly in the form ofL-valine (content ≥98%)added to diets for piglets, growing-finishing pigs, sows, and broilers as a cost-effective solution to fill amino acid gaps and improve feed conversion efficiency.
